*POETRY WARNING* The Heart is a Meaningless Symbol (With Apologies to Douglas R. Hofstadter)

The Heart is a Meaningless Symbol

My heart is thrice-stabbed:
By thee, me, its own petard;
I tried to tell it.

I've ripped it thereout
and lobbed it over to you;
I don't want it back.

Put it in your sack
-it's defective anyway.
